Human Resources Assistant – Full Time

We have a strong network of primary care and subspecialty providers on staff including a full-time Oncology Infusion program. The hospital works toward constantly improving its facilities and acquiring new technology to keep pace with the advances of health care.

Position Summary/Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in Human Resources and/or benefits environment.
  • 3-5 years general clerical experience.
  • Experience in worker’s compensation, FMLA, ADA, EAP, and other health care benefits administration preferred.
  • 2 years of college course work in business, Human Resources or related subject area preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Experience with Lawson HCM software preferred.

Strong attention to detail, experience with time sensitive information, and strong customer service skills. Ability to establish and organize workload priorities and work independently. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and employ diplomacy and tact both orally and in writing. Ability to demonstrate high level of discretion and good judgment in daily routine. The HR Assistant must have the ability to maintain confidentiality, work accurately, and demonstrate strong inter-personal and communication skills. Work experience in a human resource and benefits environment a plus. Consideration may be provided for related work experience, college course work or other credentialing human resource programs.

The HR Assistant is the primary point of contact for our internal and external customers. The HR Assistant assists employees with inquiries’ pertaining to HR operations and benefit plan provisions. This person will monitor and coordinate specific programs, including but not limited to, Workers Compensation and leave of absence management. The HR Assistant coordinates and monitors the applicant and new hire process. They must set the example for professional conduct. Performs all clerical duties necessary in the HR Department. Performs advanced office duties including answering phones, and taking and posting messages accurately, appropriately and timely. Must have the ability to work in a team environment and use good communication skills. Project and time management skills will be essential to this position. Under minimal supervision performs difficult, complex and highly specialized data entry, system reporting and general clerical works. Provide backup and support in Payroll as needed. Completes provider credentialing with payers. Provide back up and support for medical staff credentialing as needed. Work requires a comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources. Position requires a high level of sensitivity, diplomacy, and tact the ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
